‘One Day, Wise Resident Life’ is capturing both global popularity and buzz.
The tvN weekend drama ‘One Day, Wise Resident Life’ (creator Shin Won-ho, Lee Woo-jung/director Lee Min-soo/scriptwriter Kim Song-hee/planning CJ ENM Studios/production Egg is Coming, hereafter ‘Uncanny Counters’) which aired its first episode last week, is on an upward trend in Netflix global rankings, as well as in the buzz rankings and video views.
In episodes 1 and 2 of ‘Uncanny Counters’, the chaotic social lives of first-year residents Oh I-young (played by Go Yoon-jung), Pyo Nam-kyung (played by Cynthia), Eom Jae-il (played by Kang Yoo-seok), Kim Sa-bi (played by Han Ye-ji), and fourth-year resident Gu Do-won (played by Jung Joon-won) at Yulje Hospital’s gynecology department in Jongno were portrayed. The struggles of the enthusiastic yet somewhat clumsy residents resonate with everyone's early career days, offering a delightful blend of humour and touching empathy. In particular, Go Yoon-jung, who plays Oh I-young, is expected to showcase a brilliant performance as the central pillar of the drama, following her previous work 'Moving'.
